What might the car cost — and what did it actually cost?
Start with an estimate using your own distance, energy, Rego, insurance and service assumptions. Once you own the vehicle, replace assumptions with the actual history you record.
Estimated ownership cost
$6,219per yearThis is an estimate, not financial advice. It excludes depreciation, finance interest and unexpected major repairs unless you add them to other costs.
How the estimate becomes useful
Fuel: annual kilometres ÷ 100 × fuel use × fuel price.
Fixed costs: Rego, insurance, servicing and the annualised monthly amount you enter.
Per 100 km: the total annual estimate divided by distance, then multiplied by 100.
After purchase: Drilore can group your actual fuel, charging, service, repair, wash, insurance and finance records by vehicle and time period.
Why total cost matters
Fuel is only one ownership cost.
The Australian Automobile Association tracks transport affordability across car loan payments, registration, insurance, servicing, fuel, tolls and other transport costs. This calculator is deliberately broader than a fuel estimate, but it still excludes depreciation and any cost you do not enter. View the AAA data ↗
